PRONUPTIA
Pronuptia first operated in Cornwall from premises at River
Street, Truro in 1981. In 1983 the business moved to it's present
site at 9 New Bridge Street. The premises were substantially altered,
and the store concentrated on mens' formal wear, trading as 'Youngs'
(part then of the Pronuptia Group of companies).
The
National group of shops launched the name 'Pronuptia' on it's own
in 1997, and as the name is a market leader in bridal wear, the
menswear only shop in Truro was also transformed with the addition
of a Bridal Department.
